Hello all,
I recently had my labor certified (after almost 6 years!!) and my lawyer's ready to apply for I-140. However, I had a question pertaining to my college degree. During my labor application, the educational requirement for college degree was specified as follows:
"Bachelor of Science in computer science, computer information systems, computer engineering, math, or physics, or its equivalent in education and/or experience. Employer will accept one year of experience for every year not completed toward required degree".
I have a 3 year bachelor's degree from India (B.Sc Physics) and a 2 year PG diploma in computers. With this scenario, would it serve me best to submit an evaluation on my educational credentials during the I140 application with:
(a) Have an evaluation done to evaluate my 3 year degree to be shown as an equivalent of the 4 year bachelor's degree in the U.S
OR
(b) Have my degree evaluated as a 3 year degree and have my lawyer show the work experience to cover for the 4th year.
OR
(c) Have an evaluation done that combines my 3 year degree and my post bachelor's diploma?
My application will be submitted to TSC and I do know that they no longer entertain combination of degrees with diplomas and expect degrees from a single source.
Could someone please let me know what my best option would be (from a,b or c above) based on the college degree required specifications during the labor application?
Thanks in advance.....
