I-140 already approved. Can I change jobs?

My I-140 has already been approved. I am waiting on my priority date (Nov 1998) to become current so I can file for my 485. Can I change my job and continue my GC process with the new company. Can I maintain my old priority date and file for 485 with the new company when the Priority date becomes current? Please help and clarify if I can do this under the new S2045 bill provisions.

No you cant change companies right now.. The bill still needs to be signed by the President and then the INS has to implement it which will take more than a year or so.. So its a long process but eventually a lot of people will benefit down the road.. This bill is not a short term solution and I dont think people can do anything according to this bill in the coming 6 months to 1 year or more...

bill will be enacted as soon as president signs it.. But chanding job is allowed after 180 days of pending I-485
