Well i have not even got my work permit yet.(APPLIED ON SEPT 03) I received a notice requesting additional evidence of work experience on Nov 13 2003. I mailed the employers letter which they received on Jan 21 04. I called the 800 number for the latest position in june 04 and got the reply that since additional documents were requested all other applications were on interim hold. Well i got a mail on Sept 2 04 for finger print notification for I485 processing that it needs to clear from FBI. I am not sure if these finger prints are for work permit clearence or I-140. How long before i get the green card. Well i applied under grandfather law 245 in april 01. Before that i was out of status meaning denied asylum case. May be these cases are linked that's why i dont have work permit. Please help and advise.
