I-134 "Bond deposit"

My Affidavit of support sponsor asked about a line on the I-134 where it says something like "you may also be asked to deposit a bond, if necessary, to support the applicant".

Has anyone heard of this being enforced, and what would the circumstances be?

Do you may answer to me:

1-how often they ask for this bond?
2-how much the bond usually is?
3-how soon you get the money back?

What I know about this clause is that, if indeed there is doubt that yourself & family will be a "public charge" on arrival in the US based on the info/documents provided by u.

Then the option of depositing a bond can be applied. Read through the INA act, this is available on the internet.

The bond should be $1000 and refundable after five years! (can confirm in the act).
