I-134 Affidavit for parents plz resposne

POJ,

Iam a great fan of yours, you lighten the tense atmosphere. I did for my parents a few months ago filled out seperate for both of them. Also please dont forget to send in bank statements. Notarized is better.

Hi POJ,

I am more than happy to be able to do something for you (even if its info u already have!). you put a smile on my face when i read ur threads...

We sponsored my in-laws 134 recently and did two separate I-134 for each parent. they went for the interview together and the consular officer looked at only one file and they also got their visa.

good luck to u and ur family.

Hi POJ,

you are right about No. 3...thats what I did also.

for no. 10, i wud include your spouse's name. in our case, the i-134 was filed by my wife for her parents. she has also applied for gc thru CP and on i-134 (both), she put my name for No. 10.

I dont know if no. 10 is the proper way to do it in our case and I am 99% sure the interviewing officer for my in-laws didnt even see it but for what its worth...thats what we filled in.

good luck

Thanks for reply

I found a site that has some guideline of 134 fillling....

on that site No.3 seems old answer when single 134 was required to submit for wole family. here what it says...
http://www.path2usa.com/immigration/resources/sample/I134_guidelines.htm

"Name of spouse and children applying together and accompanying the applicant.
Note : Just one form I-134 forms is required for one family ( example , Parents ( Father and Mother) or (Father in Law and Mother in law). "

I am sure its old requirement.... anyway.... I agreed with ur reply, plus first line of instrucion also says to submit seperate for each person.

and in No 10 it says......

Questions10
"question is only for US Citizen who filed family based immigrant sponsorships( Green Card) form I130.

For a non-immigrant visa holder ( like H1, L1 etc) or GC holder this question is logically not applicable so write None or N/A."

So.... sound reasonable..... to me.... write 'None' and in bracket explains.

Well Praytx, it seems u are online late night too :D
You know Two creature usualy don't sleep early... :D

1. "Ashiq" (Lover)
2. "ULU" (OWL) :D

Thanks for helping and sharing :D

prince of jungle, can you please reply???????????

Are you filing I-134 affidavit of support for your parents while I -485 is pending or after approval. Can we do that while 485 is pending? I do not have H-1 status now and my 485 is pending at TSC since 2002.I am planning to bring my mother here. Do you know if anyone had done this before and got their visa.

Thank you very much

I-134

I went through the I-134 application. In Q:1 , if you are not a citizen answer the following: if you are a permanent resident, give A# number. I am not a PR yet and 485 is pending. How can I answer that. My mother was rejected before when I was in H1.I am worried if she can get visa this time. Lawyer says you can't sponsor while 485 is pending, INS assumes that you might file one for your mother too. So, I ave been waiting for this approval and I don't know what is happening at TSC.

Thank you

one form is adequate

I have done this quite a few times (at least 5) in the past 4 years, as my parents and in-laws visited us. Everytime I filled only 1 form. I listed my father as the visitor and my mother as his dependent. No problems.

And yes, I also did them both when I was on H1B and on AOS after my H1B expired. There is no problem with AOS status, it is a valid immigration status that lets you reside in the US legally.

Dear Nikhita when I saw 134 I thought same,

but as many ppl shared and online search (link posted already above), says even u are pending 485 u can mention, and if u read my last thread many ppl shared they did same, while pending, sugested, to write "AOS Pending A# 123.." or "485 Pending A#123-123-0000"

Good Luck
