Hi,
I submitted my reentry permit application about 2 months ago and I specified my then-current address as the correspondence address. Since then, I relocated to Canada for school and also changed my US correspondence address. I also updated my address info with USCIS (the new US address).
Last week, I received a rejection notice on my re-entry permit application, because apparently, the fee increased from $170 to $305, the day I sent my application. On the notice, I am advised to resubmit the entire package with a new check to speed processing. However, I am worried that since I have my old address on the application, it could be a problem. I thought about attaching a note about my US address change, but am not sure that is the right thing to do. I am also wondering if it is OK to resubmit the package as it is and once I receive the receipt number, call USCIS and update the address on the pending application. How about submitting a new application?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
