I submitted efile for my wife today. I made a mistake on gender field. I put male instead of female. How do I correct it? Since, I am not going to send the application when I mail support docs. USCIS has mentioned in the receipt not to send application. Thanks.

Just write a note in big letters on top of the supporting documents package stating: "ERROR ON APPLICATION: GENDER STATED AS "MALE", CORRECT GENDER IS "FEMALE". Have the applicant sign and date it.

I was in similar situation. I sent a letter in big letters to correct the mistake. But, USCIS still sent me the incorrect Advanced Parole.

USCIS suggested to refile after I tole them I got AP with incorrect data.


I suggest, if money is not the issue, just file a different application online. Will save you lot of time.
