I-131 or not

Hi

I'm a UK citizen here on a green card. Been here 9 years and married to a US citizen. We are planning to go back to the UK for 12 months. I'm planning for mid september. If i am only staying 12 months, do i need a I-131 or can come back on 11 months and get back in ok?
If we decide to stay a little longer would it we safe for me to come back say month 7 and leave again.

If i need to file for a I-131 is it worth using an expediting sevice? I'm aware there is now finger printing needed so its getting tight if i want to leave by mid Sept.

Any advice?
 
the RP is ''warranty'' to enter USA after a trip > 12 months.
you can come after seven months and leave again. but dont do it all the time.
from what I heard, you will get notice of fingerprint within 14 days.
