If you put a 6 month late date of intended departure, does it affect i-131 approval?

What if gets approved soon and the date put there is two months later.
Please let me know what are the contents of an approved AP?

My AP3 was approved today. The RD was 12/01/05 and intended dep date on my form was 01/15/05.

I got my AP approved by putting down "possible unforeseen trip" for date and "unexpected" for length of trip.

I don't think it will. I don't believe that the USCIS looks at the departure dates and approves cases based on those. My case was approved within 2 weks of the RD and I did not put any specific dates down.

why wouldn't dates matter? consider a case where AP renewal is filed very late and urgent foreign travel is needed. if your form and covering letter has this information of intended travel date I 'believe' it should matter in the case decision.

Keep in mind that the USCIS is a government agency. Government agencies really don't care who is travelling when, but they tend to go by when they receive the applications and processes them based on such. Otherwise, they need to track each application's travel dates and make a priority list based on that variable, which adds lots of additional work and stuff to track. I'm not saying that they are not doing that, but that the likelihood is very small.
