I-131(AP) delayed at NSC.

Hi,

Our I-131's are delayed, when called the customer service got emails saying waiting for security check and it is our third AP we were issued twice previously. What are our options we need the AP's for our scheduled travel. Can we take info pass and try at the local office. Please suggest me what we can do to get our AP's.

Sorry to hear. I filed I-131 (second time) for me and my wife on oct 1st, 2005. After waited 3 months when I enquired they said our files are under Name check process. Still we are waiting for our AP documents to leave.

We went 3 times to local office, but no use. If any file is in Name check or Security check then local office people immediately respond that they can not do anything.

Now you are scaring me!!

I just filed for I-131 AP (second time) and for sure know that my security check is not completed by FBI(Else I could have got GC long back). I was thinking so far that only I-485 adjustment needs security check. If I-131 can also be pending if security check is not complete god only knows what to do in case of emergency travel!!

I guess AP delay at NSC also happened to my wife.

My wife and I filed I131 on 2/7/06, and mine got approved on 3/24.
We still did not hear anything for my wife's case.
Because it is still within the processing timeframe, we can not inquiry.
From the stories here, I guess her case got delayed, probably due to security
check.

If I go to local INS office and request for Advance Parole, what kind of evidence I should submit? How to get appt. with them? Please advise.

I didn't mean to scare you guys, but that is the fact.

I enquired with 3 phone calls, 3 times I went local office and finally I met senator's office. Third time when I met local INS, lady officer said it is not at all possible to give an emergency AP if security or name check is in pending.

Even I believe, the name check or security check only needs for I-485. But it depends on officer, who process your I-131 application.

Don't predict anything with INS.
