I-131 and Visa Stamping

Dear Gurus,

I'll appreciate if you could please give me some advice on following matter:

My company has alrady file my I-140 in September 30, 2003. Now they are going to file I-485,I-765 and I-131 next week.

Our visa on passport has been already expired and we are planning to go Mexico for Visa Stamping.

My question is - can we go Mexico for the visa stamping because by that time my I-485 and I-131 will be in process. Is it possible to get visa stamping and I-131 both? Will it hurt my I-140 and I-485 case.

Apply 485/EAD/131 after return ..

Otherwise you have to wait to leave the US, until atleast AP is approved.

I do not think this is right. Since he has valid H1 he can go and come at any time. AP is not required for the person holing H1 visa.
 
you can not leave the country when AP is in process! I heard it from INS office. Talk to some good (!!, my lawyer said the wrong info) lawyers and then decide whether you want to go to mexico for visa stamping. Take advice from 2-3 lawyers and if possible waste a day and go to local Ins office and get the info.
