Is there any possibility of retrogression of the F2A category for family based immigration...I am happy my application

Irrespective of the changes on immigration reforms, anwer to your question is 'No'.

There are some scenarios in which it is possible. For example, if IR immediate relative visa limitation is taken off or F2B, F3 or/and F4 are merged with F2A.
I am a layman and nothing more than that...
