I am married to Permanent Resident. I'm in US and on F1. Applied I-130 by spouse in April 2004. Recieved Transfer Notice in May 25, 2005 that the file was transfer to INS and have to wait for interview.
Does anyone knows approximately how long the wait time will be for interview? Any experinece? Please help!

Interview for I-130? That does not happen. Interviews are after you file I-485. You will have to apply for I-485 when your priority date is current and then you will get an interview.

Still confused

Thanks for the reply. That was my understanding first but here's what I received on Transfer Notice for my I130

"Preliminary processing of the above application has been completed, it has been transfer to INS office ...., LA, CA
That office will notify you when they schedule an interview on the application or petition. "

If I am outside US, I have to wait by my Priority Date of my catagory which is now at 1998. My priority date would be in 2004. I have to wait 6 years to get call by the Embassy.

Now that I'm in US, will anything be different on my waiting time span?

Any comments, suggestions help us a lot.
