I-130 Processing Time

My wife is a US citizen and we need to start processing my GC.

Do I need to wait for I-130 approval in order to get Advanced Parole to travel?

How long does it take for I-130 approval?

Any information on this is truly appreciated.
We plan to go to India in Dec-jan and get the ceremonial marriage done. .. not sure if this would be possible.

where are you? different local field office has different timeline, it varies significantly depending on the local INS work schedule, work load, etc.

I'm residing in New Jersey so the service center would be Vermont i guess.

What is the time being taken now as in Sept?
What is the average?

Is it better/faster if you file in Vermont?

I filed my I-130/I-485/EAD in Newark,NJ
I did not file for AP.

As per http://www.immigration.com/processing-times/national.html

It takes only a day for AP approval in Newark NJ. But I am not sure if I-130 must be approved for it or not.

Can you guide me to a link/resource who can answer the question - IS I-130 approval required to get Advanced Parole.

1. the processing time has nothing to do with vermont service center, it is the LOCAL field office that handle your case.

2. To the best of my knowledge, the apporval of I-130 is not prerequirement of getting AP( I-131). It is advised to call a lawyer ( you can find them in your local yellow book) to seek answer to confirm I am right, usually initial consulting with a law firm is free.
