Hi ,

Case 1: I filed I-130 for my parents in AUG 2004 and I have not been notified if my case is moved to CSC or not, I request to share similar experiences if anyone has one.

Case :2 My Friend just filed 1-30 petition in NOV-2004 for his parents at NSC and he received a receipt in three weeks from CSC , he called 1-800 INS number and asked , why did he receive a receipt from CSC and not from NSC. INS informed that because there is a huge backlog in NSC for 1-30 petitions all new applications will be transferred to CSC . CSC is 11 months ahead of NSC in case of I-130!!.

I am confused about the people who have already filed to NSC and received receipt from NSC. It doesn’t make more sense if ones case gets approved before someone else who have filed long back. I believe INS should have moved most of the I-130 cases to CSC, but at least not mine. Does anyone from AUG – SEP 2004 time frame had similar experiences, any information will be a great relief for me.

I believe if NSC has transferred their huge batch of I-130 to CSC, CSC will now have huge loads of I-130 petitions slowing down their processing. Does anyone knows when this move happened and was there any announcement from INS or any websites.

Thanks in advance
Kan
