I-130 petition transferred to another service center, another long wait?

My USC husband's petition for his step son got transferred after 4 months of waiting. We submitted late July 2013 and was hoping we can get approval by March 2014, which is about 8 months processing. We got the letter late November saying it was transferred.

Does that mean we have to wait another 4-6 months?
 
Not always. Some times the cases are transferred merely to allocate workload better among the staff, but since cases are dealt with on a first come first served basis, your place in the line is intact.
