I-130 Notice of Action (Problem?)

I sent the I-130 and I-485 for mother and father to Chicago box.
All 4 checks were cashed and with different Receipt numbers on the back.
Today I got 3 Notice of Action, (the two I-485 and the I-130 for father) the I-130 for mother didn't come yet, well, maybe tomorrow or next week I'll get it, I keep my fingers crossed

What puzzels me on my father's I-130 Notice of Action is that in the Petitioner box is my new correct name (I've changed my name after Naturalization) and my A# They put my old A# not my Naturalization Certificate Number in the box???
I hope they will not treat my application like a Green Card holder instead of American citizen

Could anyone who has the Notice of Action for I-130 handy tell me if this is normal, or I've started this on the wrong foot again with CIS?

You are fine. They do put A# on I-130 NOA. Infact, permanent residents cannot petition for parents only USC can.

There were a couple of threads about whether USC should put A# on I-130 form or not. And the thinking is that one should because it is also present on Naturalization certificate.

I did write it on my I-130 petitions. Did you write it on yours or did CIS pull it from the copy of your Cert of Nat.?

I think this time, you are ok. I checked my Mom's I-130, and across from the "Petitioner:" field, it's my A# number (before I got naturalized), just like it's in yours.

I don't have mine handy right now, if memory is serving right, they do put your A Number and not your NAtz Cert#.

I'm looking right now at a copy of the I-130 I sent and at the #10 "Alien Registration Number" I wrote the A# myself.

Of course, at #13 "If you are a US citizen complete the following" I wrote my Naturalization Certificate number, and the date and place of issuance.

Priority Date: BLANK

Is this the way it should be???

I asked the exact same question when I got those notices. No need to be It's got to be blank.

Back then, I was told by the helpful members of the forum that the PD is not applicable to the Imm Relatives category, as the visas are already current.

After playing with the numbers a little bit I found the fourth Receipt Number, for my mom's I-130 Notice of Action which didn't come yet. (hopefully I got the right one, my mom's case, not a stranger's case )

For I-130 the processing time is between 30 and 90 days

For I-485 the processing time is between 120 and 180 days

Is CIS that fast these days or, as usual, I shouldn't hold my breath on their misinformations

It is sad to see that after fighting with USCIS for so many years you completely lost your faith in them

Jen is right. That field should be blank for the immediate relative of a USC as there is no waiting involved. PD is always current and an immigration visa number is readily available.

Things have changed and USCIS is no longer the same foe you used to know The current timelines for immediate relatives are somewhat around what you mentioned.
