I-130: How does the process work?

To all of you who haven't read any of my posts so far, I'm applying for permanent residency through my father who is a U.S citizen. I am 20 yrs old.
We sent form I-130 in to USCIS in may. My receipt date is may 18th. I sent in form I-485 in the beginning of july along with affidavit of support and biographic info. etc. They still need sme evidence for my affidavit of support. Will they ask for itwhen they start processing my case OR will they ask me to bring it to the interview? Later on I sent in a medical examination because they asked for it.
I went in for my fingerprinting and Biometrics appointment on september 7.
In late september I found out my case got transferred to the Chicago service center from the California one. I haven't heard anything about my case since then.
Does anyone know what the process from now on will be?

I THINK uscis need to approved your I 130 case before u file I 485.
CUS i am the same i just got my I 130 approved and now the next stpe is to file I 485. but im not sure others will know better than me:) good luck
 
During the time being some processes had been changed, so right now the process is that if you are an immediate relative of a USC then you can apply for AOS at the same time your parent or relative is applying for your I-130. Meaning that you can send your I-130 and the AOS package at the same time.

Check this forum. The time to get the case approved or not depends on your District Office. There are some fasters than others. Average can take from 6 months up to a year or a little bit more.
