You should file the I-485 application package (I-485, I-765, I-693, & I-131) with the I-130 notice letter and upgrade request to the Chicago Lockbox. The National Benefits Center will take care of reviewing, upgrading, and approving the I-130. Be sure to include a copy of your naturalization certificate with the upgrade request. If you send everything together to the address provided in the I-485, both the I-130 and I-485 application will be processed together. This is much faster, but can only be done if you wife is in the USA with you.

If your wife is abroad, you will need to sent an upgrade letter with a copy of the I-130 NOA and a copy of your naturalization certificate to the service center where the application is pending. You should indicate in the letter that you want consular processing. It will take a few months (2-4) to get processed and the file will be sent to the National Visa Center. NVC will contact you with the steps you need to take to being your wife's application abroad (at a US Embassy).
