Hello All,

I became a US citizen in 2009 so i went to my native country to get married. After my wedding i stayed back for almost a year. I came back to the United States to file the I-130 for my husband. Before i put in the application i got a contract job, now that job will be ending in a month.I put in an I-130 application for my husband in March 2010. I have received the receipt confirming USCIS has received the application. The status on the USCIS website says it is in intial review.

I live with my brother here in the States and he is providing the Affidavit of Support so i was thinking of going to my native land and staying with my husband till the whole I-30 process is completed.I figured since my brother is here and i used his address he can always mail us whatever correspondence USCIS sends. I just feel it will be easier for both of us to wait the due process if we are together.

Please let me know what you all think.

Thank you.
