I-130 For Parents

I have a question about timing.
A friend of mine sent her mother's I-130 from Texas in May and it has been approved.
I sent my father's I-130 in April from Massachusetts and is still pending.
Both are at the Vermont Center. They say that they approve cases in the order they are received, but this not make any sense then.
If I call, the machine says that it is still pending. Does it make a difference that mine was sent from Boston and hers from Texas? Should I worry about this?
Both parents are in Peru.
Thank you very much.

I have a pending I-130/I-485 and I've noticed out-of-sequence processing of the transfer to the local service center (which I understand occurs after the I-130 portion is adjudicated).

So I wouldn't be too surprised to see out-of-sequence I-130 approvals either.

Hi,
I filed for my husband and VSC. I filed in November of last year. VSC sucks and there is no rhyme or reason to their processing anymore. You have a better chance of being approved before my case as it is the people that filed later in 2007 that seem to issue but believe it or not, lots of people are waiting that filed since last year. IT's going to be a while. I have been dealing with immigration for a while now. It took 2 and a half years for my citizenship to be approved, now this. Good luck to you. Good luck to all of us. :(

I filed for my father's 130 in April - 08 from texas. The case is in VSC and its pending. I was hoping to get through this within a few months but after reading this, I have a bad feeling that it might take a while :(

Yes, this is amazing, but my friend sent it to Vermont too in May and she was approved in June!!!!! If the deny it, they send this immediately, is this correct? I am worry that they will not approve it. Thanks.

mvquiroz, dipalmodi can you please tell me that your parents are here in USA and filed I-130? I am planning to do the same. I am very sick and I need my parents to be here to help with my daughter. I would like to file for GC when they are here in US, but little nervous to do it, i dont want them to get denied for any reason. Please help me out.

No, my father is in Peru. He is not here in USA. I also want my father to be here soon, but I am sure to do the other way is not legal and I like to follow rules.

Sponsoring Spouse

I have question on sponsoring spouse.

My spouse has never been to USA and lives abroad. I want to sponsor the spouse because I am USA citizen. Do I just send I-130 form, G-325A form along with necessary documents or do I need to fill out other forms like I-485.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
