This will be long. But I have a lawyer I am just so inpatient I am trying to gather other peoples experiences.

So first my situation is complicated- my bio mom and step father met in Germany he was active duty military. We left germany for the US when I was 2. Neither one of them kept up with immigration forms or anything so all my stuff expired as a child, and all my dad was suppose to do is file a i751 and pay the $125. That didnt happen either. Here I am almost 31 years old an still no clue what to do.

Anyways I've been married for almost 11 years to a USC. So we want to file green card through marriage...however I have this terrible feeling that my teenage years are going to prevent me because of my record.

2 misdemeanors of retail theft (she said that would fall under the petty offense) but she needed to look into my felony but I needed to get the court documents. So I did and the disposition says dismissed-but it's because I did what I was suppose to do. But even with out the dismissal the charge its self dosent fall under CIMT in michigan....
Should I be in the clear to file.
She said its helpful that the crimes were years apart and long after being in the us. The crimes were done in 2006, 2008, and 2011. And then I had a kid an grew up.

Who has been in a similar situation and had a happy outcome

If some one has criminal record and due to that he is unable to get police certificate will he able to submit DS260?
Although he has court release papers after he finished his punishment in jail.
Anyone has any idea

Anybody??
I was in a similar situation as yours; I had to pay a criminal attorney to remove my criminal offenses from the state court system ( there is a name for i). The lawyers I hired were able to remove my cases because the police never read my Miranda rights. I was never convicted originally, and they were misdemeanors charges, but my immigration lawyers advised me to have them removed before applying for a green card; I still had to explain the criminal history to the immigration court.
