I-130 and fiancee visa

Dear Rajiv,
I am a US citizen and I was married in Moscow to a Russian lady a year ago and since that time I lived in Moscow. Now I want to bring my family to US. All this time I had leave of absence from my job that I had in Indiana. 3 weeks ago I applied for the I-130 for my wife and her son, and in a couple of days I am going to US to apply for fiancée (Life Act) visa for her. In the I-130 application I marked my Indiana job. But I decided to move to Connecticut closer to my relatives, so I plan on finding a new job there. Probably somebody else will file the affidavit of support, as I have many outstanding debts, that I have not taken care of since I left America. If I will change jobs and re-establish residence in US, will it prevent us to get a fiancée visa for my wife? Do I need to list a job at all if a family member files an affidavit of support for fiancée visa instead of me? Will I be allowed to file the fiancée visa application if I decide to file bankruptcy? How long until I will be required to file the affidavit of support for the I-130?

Thank you for your assistance.

John

I'm not a lawyer...just some comments, when you already married, you cannot file K1 Visa (fiancee visa)...you have to file K3 Visa (spousal visa). Fiancee visa for the couple who do not married yet.

Check if the consular there also do Dicect Consular Processing, its faster.

I'm not a lawyer, act accordingly.
