i-130 after asylum

I applied for asylum after being in US for 4 years (I know a little too late but I had changed circumstances and thus the late decision). After being denied the asylum because of the delay (from what I understood, that was the only reason stated on the denial), I married my gf (USC) of 1.5 years. We were planning on getting married eventually anyway, but the asylum rejection just accelerated our decision. Anyhow, we sent our I-130 petition about 2 months ago. Does anyone know approximately how long it will take to process? I was supposed to have a master hearing in immigration court (on the asylum case) this summer, but we were able to send a petition and have them postpone the hearing. Has anyone had a similar case before? Any advice? What happens after we go to interview and have our petition approved? How fast will I be able to get my PR? Also, do you guys think that we will get grilled harder and tougher on interview because of my strange case? We have things to show at the interview: bunch of pics, common property, common insurance, phone calls, bills, etc.

Tricky!

I am not sure about your case, but you have to apply asylum within one year of your arrival to the US. There are excemption to this. Your I-130 may not be approved. It has to be adjudicated together with the asylum case. You can't have two separate cases! In your case, it will be very difficult to prove that your marriage is real, especially if you got married after your asylum was denied. You need an attorney who specializes in this area. It can get messy! Good luck!
