Hypothetical question

As you can see from my signature, my PD is OCT 2001. As per USCIS my 485 should have been cleared, but not. When my Lawyer contacted USCIS agreed to send a written reply. As per the web site they had already sent the reply and yet to be received. As I have only 15 days left before I can go back to the cave and get into hibernation for another three years, I would like to know would any of these actions from my side help.

1. Contact local congress man/Senetor to expidite the process. Let us say if I can make my employer to contact some high office and rake the leaves. Is it possible to get humanly possible to ge i-485 with in next 15 days.

Like POJ mentioned it takes five minutes to review and sign a paper, provided the paper goes to the concerned. It is taking up of the paper to the concerned, I am worried about

2. In cas of enquiry by the lawyer, who gets the response from USCIS? Does the response sent to my Lawyer or to me
Shed some light please....

You can do what u said but most of them are typical ready made answer.

You can do what u said but most of them are typical ready made answer. They will be not looking into case and apply their brain that if not in 15days you will be wait for much longer.Just they will reply something. But there is no harm. They are slow. But what you are going to lose in trying.Hence try whatever comes to ur mind. But I have only one request don't think logically because this USCIS and its actions are against any logic.
Here is the picture of Chalkor bird.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst as per saras76..Imagine what will happen to eb3 cases whose priority date is Jan 98.

I140 approved = Feb. 18, 2005
I485 approved date == ???????? LUD changed May4, 2005 after FP, Lud changed July 1, 2005, July 5,2005.
FP = May3, 2005 (code 3)
EAD1 RD = Oct. 8,2004 Approved November 10,2004
AP1 RD = Oct. 8,2004 Approved November 16,2004
EAD2 RD = Sep. 1,2005 Approved September 8,2005
AP2 RD = Sep. 1,2005 Approved September 9,2005

Thankyou for sharing your thoughts. While I agree that EB3 cases had to wait one year more than Eb2. Believe me..I was there with Eb3 where I had my labor got stuck for 2 years then had to face a layoff and start with altogher a new H1. Almost 10 years in this GC process. I know what its like...

Shed some light please....

Has anyone had their lawyer contact USCIS? If so, who gets the response?

Also, some otpmistic thoughts echoed saying that these dates are big bulls&@$ and are meant to prevent the new filings. This would allow USCIS to clean the debris.if so, given that I applied in EB2 and PD is OCT2001, when could I expect my freedom. Please make your best guess.

Nice catch.. I wish I could be a time traveller. But unfortunately I am like a Dino that esacped the BIG bang and, now hit by this stupid retrogression

Dependent case

PD 2/28/01
ND 6/26/02
Primary applicant approved 3/12/04.
Dependent Case transferred to local office.

How the retrogression is going to affect such case?

All,
Could somebody help me with the question I had asked?
2. In cas of enquiry by the lawyer, who gets the response from USCIS? Does the response sent to my Lawyer or to me

Hmmm.... still waiting for a reply.

We tried enquiring TSC once again and the response we got was to wait till another 30 days passed from the time first response was sent.

I would be suprised if the response for an inquiry by a lawyer was sent to the client directly. But would it matter, unless you have some communication problems with your lawyer?

There is no problem in a ideal situation. But in the current situation it matters as every hour matters. Because after October 1st my case goes to the back burner.

I understand from your response, that it would go to the Attoreny. Ain't it so?

There is no problem in an ideal situation. I do not have communication problems with my attorney. The attorney's office may not tell the next minute they receive it. But they definitely tell the next day.

For whatever its worth,
For those who had/still have the question,
In case of an equiry made by the Lawyer's office, both the candidate and the lawyer's office get the response from USCIS.

My case is stuck at security clearance by FBI. USCIS says that everything is set except for the security clearance. Is seeking political help from senetor/congress men help? if it is going to help I appreciate if somebody can help in giving a direction. Who should request? Should I request or if I ask my employer to request on my behalf? Please let me know
