:D :D :D Just got a mail from CRIS that my 485 has been approved.
Since 15 days i was checking my status quite often all day, but as i was busy at work today i did not even thought about it and get this sweet surprise.
I still cant believe it.

Wonderful. I can hardly imagine how you must be feeling since I have been waiting since Oct 2001.

Could you please give more details like nationality. I was retrogressed (India) in Oct 2005. :mad: :(

My status says "FP review completed" for the past 6 months and it has not changed even today. Why did they call me for yet another FP on the 8th of this month if "FP review is completed"?

I just checked the website for my status and it says:

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On June 23, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

So I guess the next step is to simply wait for the notice and I am guessing I will require to go to my local office to get a stamping (that is what the ADIT is for) and then wait for 60 days. I can do that. The long wait is finally over.
