I am applying for I-485 in Chicago based on marriage. My wife and I went to the interview end of March. The interviewer told us that the only step remaining was the FBI name check which was not completed, but should be completed within the next two months. As of last week, since we had not received anything, I went to check the status at BCIS. They told me it was still pending name check (it's been more that 7 months since the interview now), when a friend of mine who applied few months after me has already received his card.Is anyone in the same situation, or does anyone know what can be done about this?
