Howz Job market?

I dont like to use profanity

in describing the job market... I have been warned before ;)

I dont know what everyone is talking about recovery and beating estimates. All they have done is to cut 10% of the workforce and squeeze more out of the existing ones. The "improvement" in the job market is suspicious. most people have been without jobs for so long that they dont qualify to file claims anymore and some more gave up... and some couldnt file because of the hurricane. Thats my take on it. The economy is still messed up. People have spent enough but the business leaders instead of investing the money are taking it out in the form of dividends and this is supposed to help the economy!?!?! Right!!!!

When people feel the pain to find the job, it means it has hit the bottom. I am applying the contrarian philosophy here. The same thing happened when the market hit the bottom in Oct 2002. I think the worst is over and good times are going to come. Look at the market data coming out.

Productivity is at an all-time high 6.8%, GDP is estimated to grow at 5% in the fourth quarter, almost all the companies are beating the earnings estimates, the sales are increasing, the inventories are low, the dollar is low (which can be a good thing for manufacturing).
