Dear All,
I have taken an infopass appointment sometime nextweek to discuss about my case details with IIO.

I would like to know if INFOPASS is really helpful in making any progress in our cases ? Please share your experiences or suggestions as I am going there to discuss about my Name Check Issue with the IIO.

I don't know if it will help in your application, but they generally look up your case in the computer and may be they will trigger your name check request. Take your wife with you as they can look at her file too.

Hi Needhelp,

I have not made many posts, but I do read lot of threads.

My case is similar to your case. I recently received reponse from FBI that USCIS has not requested for my name check. I informed my attorney about this and, he advised going to local office and, request for finger printing. I am thinking of trying this option.

Please keep posted if something gets your application forward and, will do the same.

Sure. Will keep the forum posted.
Give me your RD/ND dates and also you cannot directly go to the local office and ask for FP. INS has to issue you a FP notice and then only you can go for Finger Printing. And Again Name Check has nothing to do with Finger Printing. FBI Name Check and FBI Finger Printing are two different checks done along with IBIS Check.

Needhelp,

Here are ND and RD dates.

ND : 12/23/2002 AND RD : 01/27/2003 AND PD : April 2001. I did finger printing twice second in July 2004.

Yes, you are right that finger print and, name check are different. I suspected the same and, questioned my attorney about that, then he said it worked in a similar case. I think you can request for a finger print at local office, try and let me know. I got the appointment for 2nd feb.
