A. My situation:
1. I got layed-off on Oct. 11, 2001, my previous company informed INS about my status, and I get last pay check on 11/9
2. I do nothing about visa file in or transfer
3. My new company is preparing H1-B transfer right now
B. My question:
Since INS may forgive those who lost job after 911, how\'s current successful rate? Among friends around you, how many of them get approved for H1-B transfer? How many are asked to leave for another stamp? If the latter, is there any negative impact for my immigration record, or future GC application? Is there any safer alternatives?
