How to withdraw visa application from Chennai Consulate?

Gurus,

My wife has applied for H4 visa revalidation in Chennai consulate 4 months ago. Chennai consulate queried and my wife submitted the documents 1 month ago. Till now she didnt get any response. Now I changed employer and am getting new visa.

My wife is planning to apply for H4 with my new visa approval (I-797), first she needs to withdraw the H4 application.

Please help how to withdraw the visa application (from Chennai Consulate), and what is the procedure to withdraw ?

Just write a letter with the name, DOB, passport number, type of visa applied to the consulate.
 
My wife got a letter from consulate, saying to appear for an
interview on any Monday before 9am. Also to bring
* Passport
* Visa Application
* fees
* Copies of principal applicant's work experience letters in the US.

Meanwhile, my new employer has filed visa for me, which I will be
getting in 2 weeks. I also dont have experience letters from my
previous employers.

Now, is it better to send her for interview without experience letter or to wait and send her with my new visa ?

Any suggestions welcome.
