How to transfer Immigration Court to another City

Hi Guys

My court is caming soon and it takes place another city, I contacted with my Lawyer about this issure two month ago, he has been ignored this issure.

When last week I met my lawyer he said he is going to change Immigration Court location, he is not gonna go that city becouse it will take his time.

I am worrying because might be My court day will be delayed by Immigration Court if my Lawyer asks put my court in our city. He doesn't care about my me, he has been nothing for two years, I already paid off, I cannot break my contract, so I can do nothing more than pray.

I have just 40 days until court, I have had a lot of trouble to have court Day, I wrote lots of letter high rank people an Immigration to get my case schedule since 2004.

If he request change Court location from Immigration Court, my case would be delay again, I don't want this, I am so tried I am so exhausted.

Please give advice what do I have to do.
May I write letter to Immigration Court and ask them transfer my Court to my City but don't please don't postpone its day.
Or Can braek my contract with my lawyer?
I don't have enough money to pay his travel expences and his food if he agree to go another city for my court.

HI Diego, I am sorry about your situation. I know some lawyers can be selfish when it comes to Asylem case. One thing I will advice you is to do your best not to change your appointment! Even if you have to pay his expense it is best to keep your appointment.

FYI: Most lawyers’ charge travel expense if they have to go to court with you. I had to pay my lawyer to appear with me at court but I made arrangement to pay him in two installments. Maybe you can do the same. Otherwise see if the court can appoint you another public lawyer. if not go to your local catholic charity or IRC and see if they have a lawyer or give you any advice. Some of these agencies have really good lawyers and they might charge you about $100 to go appear in court with you. They will also give you advice and if you volenter time with them, they will write a letter for you to take in court with you and referal. This letter sometimes help especially if you are asylem and help out refugges or assylem in your area.

After posting this thread I was waitiing waiting one answer, then I immediately wrote letter and sent it with express mail to Immigration Court.
I requested them change just location. I hope they will.

NExt time I have to be little bit patient.

And your next advice about finding cheaper lowyer it is really good.
I try to find another lowyer, two is better than just one.
