I gave up.

My caes has been pending and every place (USCIS, FBI etc) I turned for informaiton has stonewalled me.

I decided to move to California and do my interview and everything there.

Anybody has experience how to transfer case out (from philly) to San francisco?

thanks

just geta infopass and go update them of your new address.

how long does it take to transfer?

thanks, query11.

any idea how long does it take for the case being actually transferred?

how to verify that it is indeed at the destination? (I-797C etc? New receipt number from California service center?)

best

I would say...file a AR11 (change of address form) and then call 1 800 375-5283 and let them know that your address has changed and they can most likely tell you how long it will take them to transfer your case over to San Francisco.

Tried that. Note that AR11 is completely independent of this.

I did call the 800 number and was told that "every case is specific... I am sorry that I cannot give you an estimate.."

I was hoping to see if there is an established channel to do this. You call them and give them your new address. Do you get a confirmation number? I doubt. Then how do you track? (how do you verify the case indeed arrives in San Franciso?) However, if they have a form, then it might be different.

Anybody heard of N-455?

I've heard of form N455 before but it looks like this form is not in use anymore.

I'd say get an appointment via Infopass and talk to someone in San Francisco to see what they can do to transfer your case.

Good luck :)
