How to track card ordered and mailed ?

My husband and I went for our infopass appt on the 21st of Dec at Dallas Center. I was told by the office who did mine that I will get my card in 2-3 weeks. However my husband was told by the officer who did his that his card will be mailed in 6 to 9 months. We were 4 counters apart. Is that normal response from different officer ?
I noticed a lot of you post the card ordered date and the card mailed date. will that be posted on the same account that we created online ? meaning we will still get the email of the LUD on the same portfolio we put for the 485 application ?
Please help !

Also - the officer who did my husband almost send him hoem for not having his current EAD with him. SO all of you out there - HEADS UP !! bring your ead even though the official approval 485 did not list that on it.
 
My officer told me that although the cards are coming in about 1-2 months, he still has to tell me that it could take over 6 months. It arrived in 3 weeks.

So its sounds like one officer was telling you what he is seeing these days in reality, and the other officer is telling you what he was told to tell you by his supervisor.
 
yes... 6-9 months is the regular BS that you get on the online status check... but in reality it is around 3 weeks. one officer is practical and the other is text-book... :)
