Is your baby a part of CP applicant. Or is he/she a US citizen. Well if she/he is a US citizen then they do not need to accompany you for the interview and I remember one of the CPer's had suggested to not take your baby for the interview if not needed.
We leave alone, far far away from my family so there is no way I can keep him out of consulate. He is a US citizen.. Please let me know the way you can take food for him. 'coz it will be a long day and he is not yet 2 years old..
They just allow you take some folders. I have seen some of them carrying few carrybags for children. We didnt take our kid to the consulate. we left him with our brother at the hotel room. Usually it will take half a day in side. They will open you belongings and scan them. If possible leave your kid at the hotel with somebody.
I have seen people tossing apples other fruits (ment for thier childern) near the gate as the staff is not allowing them. I am not sure about the baby food why dont you call (/mail) the cosulate and enquire about it.
