how to set up quick H-1B stamping appointment in Canada?

We're trying to set up an appointment in an embassy in Canada for some time in the next 2 weeks for H-1B stamping, but vancouver, montreal, and toronto embassies don't have any dates available. Is there any other way to go about getting an appointment, like a standby waiting list, in case somebody cancels his appointment?
 
Their whole appointment system sucks. Sorry, you have to book your appointments at least 5 weeks in advance.
OR
Keep calling them at the 1-900 number until they have a cancelled slot open for you to fill.
