How to say STATUS to new Employer. RD < 180 days. Expecting lay-off. Please help

yes...you have to say you are on EAD....

they will understand what is EAD...basically you are authorized to work in the US..that is all that they need to know/understand....

It is always better to tell them that you are authorized to work in US instead of telling that you will work on EAD. If they ask you, then you can simply show your EAD card. You will be fine.
