how to request for sending the 2nd FP notice

My wife's FP is expiring in Nov , her case is not being approved becuase the visa numbers are not available. Her case is pending at Local office in Washington DC for adjuciation. The interview has already been done. Is it possible I can ask them to send a 2nd FP notice ? If yes, how?

When the case will be ready for adjudication or approved USCIS will ask her to appear for FP if necessary.
