Hi all! I have got re reentry permit expire march 1012. I want to renew but I don't know, how long does it take? And do I have to finger print again???
It's basically the same process as when you applied for it the first time ... you must be in the US when you apply for it (including when USCIS receives it), and you must give fingerprints again. The only difference in the process is that you're supposed to submit the existing permit with the renewal application if the existing one is unexpired.
It takes about 2-6 months for the reentry permit to be issued.

Form I-131, Application for a Travel Document should be used to renew. Make sure you don't have a valid one before you apply and also well in time for the processing to take place.
