How to Renew EAD and AP ??? Most people will face it next year.

Hi, Guys:

I guess most of the I-485 filers for this year will need to renew EAD and AP for next year due to the extremely slow speed right now. I heard that it might take 16-19 months to get the 485 Aprrovel.

Does anyone know how to renew EAD and AP three months before the expiration date? What are needed to be included in the renew application?

EAD Renewal

I renewed my EAD by sending it to NSC at Nebraska. However, I have been told that I could do the same through my local INS office in Minneapolis too, but I did not want to take the risk. The time b/w RD and AD for EAD was 6 weeks... For AP, I will most probably try to get it from my local INS, as I am hoping that I will get my GC approved before that.

My first EAD/AP were expiring early Feb 02.

Dates:
EAD RD late 9/01 ND 10/25/01 AD 11/14/01
485 RD 10/13/00 ND 11/6/00 AD ???? LIN 01-027

For Colorado applicants

You\'d better do it locally, it takes 2-3 hrs to renew EAD, and 3 days to receive AP in the mail.

I also wonder what materials you need to include in the application package sending to INS (not local office). Could you please let us know some details there?

I think you can get EAD and AP at local office if you have not received the approval 3 months after you filed the application to INS. I am not sure you can renew EAP and AP directly at local INS office. Anybody did that before?
