How To Recruit Temporary Workers --- Legally

Arkansas

New Member
I'm doing research into the possible launch of a temp agency providing workers to poultry processing plants, tree planters, contruction companies and farmers in Arkansas.

It's early in my learning --- I just read here that a temporay work visa is called an h1, so you know how little I know.

I'm hoping someone can clue me on the process of recruiting mexican workers and transporting them legally into the US. I'm aware then many of the workers here now may not have clear papers, work permits, visas or whatever they need to be legal, but I want our service to be 100% legal.

So please clue me in. What obstacles and difficulties am I likely to face in providing a service that recruits mexacans across the border and brings them to Arkansas?

I welcome all comments, tips, suggestions and constructive criticism :)

It might also be good if you could elaborate on the wrong way this is being done so that I can avoid even the appearance of wrongdoing. It's important to me to provide a 100% legal service. I like to sleep nights :)

So if you know the drill --- I'd be very grateful if you would walk me thru the process of exactly what I'll need to do to keep EVERYONE happy. Pretend I'm 15 instead of 45 and tell me in basic, step-by-step fashion and just maybe you will have helped a good number of folks. Just for the record, some time ago I toured a turkey processing plant that has hundreds of workers and 98% are hispanic.

They are kind, courteous, hard-working people that make good friends and neighbors. I welcome anyone like that to this country, no matter where they come from. The turkey processor says they are the best workers they have ever had and that they would hire more of they could get them.

We have a real shortage of workers in this country and I for one enjoy seeing people come here to better their lifestyle and provide better for their family.

Many thanks for helping,
Arkansas :D :D :D

How about doing your homework first and asking somewhat less open ended questions later.

Just for starters, check the DOS and USCIS websites for the information regarding the H2a and H2b visa categories.
