I would appreciate your help on understanding the status of my case. Strange as it may sound, I never bothered to make sense out of my I485 Receipt Notice (Vermont Service Center). Until now ...
The so-called processing time for VSC stands at 10/15/2001. My Receipt Notice has the following information:
Receipt Number: EAC-02-060-5****
Receipt Date: November 16, 2001
Notice Date: December 11, 2001
I'm primarily confused about the dates - what's the difference between RD and ND? Does it mean that INS received my I485 application on the RD, and this Notice of Action was sent out on the ND?
In any case, when I look at the current processing times, do I consider my RD or the ND? I hope it's the "sooner" one!
