How to reach USCIS customer service?

I am trying to call customer service for the TSC for a question about my case but I can't seem to find the option where it says 'press _ for customer service'. Can anyone guide me in the right direction.

Thank you.

Call the national helpdesk at 800-375-5283. Go through the regular option of keying in your application number. After you hear the message "your case is pending ...." or "your case cannot be found ...." - whatever the case may be, stay on the line and then the system will prompt you to enter keys to talk to a customer service rep.

Thank you takadigi, i tried it and it worked, you are one of the few people who after completing their process have stayed here to help others out.

There's actually quite a few of us who stick around afterwards. Off the top of my head I think flydog, triple citizen, rwsh, eo23, huracan, n400applier, query11, and equate (to name but a few) are all done.

I think rwsh wishes he was done - but he's getting close. :)

I'm mostly hanging around to hear about folks' N-600 experiences. Boy, do I really want to be able to open my mailbox and not have to look for a USCIS envelope. I've been checking that mailbox every day since mid-September 2005. It's getting very old.

My kid's N-600 application turns 11 months old this week. It is only a few months away from my 14-month N-400 application (with no name check issues!!). They must really have something in for my last name (my wife - who doesn't share my family name - breezed right through).

Enough ranting.

By the way: don't set your expectations up too high for the quality of information you get from USCIS "customer support" - it's a bit of a misnomer.

Ok, really enough ranting.
