GKing, Congratulations to you and your damily for enjoying freedom. I saw your great news when I was still in China. Since I did not get mine approved, I have quited seeing this forum until today. Finally my wife gets her FP notice TODAY.

Guys, be ware that you or your spouse got FP notice does not mean the other party will get it soon. I did my FP in APRIL, 2002, as our dear friend GKING predicted that I should have an approval on OCT 10, which did not happen at all.

GKing, I know that you did your FP ahead of schedule date. If you still visit this forum, please let me know how to do it. Other friends, if you had similar experience, please help me too. Our local INS office is in Tampa, Florida.

Many thanks to all.

You just bring it into the ASC and if they are not too busy, they will do it. There is no way to reschedule for an earlier date.
People who posted that they did it early indicated that this is what they did.

Nice to hear from you, TSC11months.

I had thought you had got a better job in China. As Ken said, you do not need to re-schedule the date, just walk in at any working date. I heard that Wednesday and Saturday were good days. I went to Atlanta ASC on Saturday one month ahead of schedule, no questions asked.

I wish I could leave the GC behibd me, but I still would like to stay with you (and Ken, KP, etc) until you all got approvals. Good luck.

Hi Gking
Nice to see you still helping out.

I guess you were on the right side of the processing freeze.

Get out the extra blankets for the next few days....

Timings of Atlanta Fingerprinting office

GKing,
Till what time is the Atlanta (Buford Highway) fingerprinting office open on Saturdays.

I got my FP Notice on Tuesday, and my fingerprints are scheduled for 28th Feb.

I am planning to go tommorow.

Thanks.

TSC 485 status

Hi Gking,

It is nice to note that you are still here helping others. These days there is no real freedom even with green cards. Job market is so tight that those who are still waiting suffer too much.

A friend of mine in Austin filed his 485 in 5/2002 and has not got his FP yet. He may face mass layoffs any time and may never find a new job in a short period of time. Does it matter if he loses his job? So I am curious about TSC FP and 485 status. Somehow, I could not access TSC 485 tracker.

Ken, tsc11months, and others, hope you get your approvals soon.

eb1tsc, nice to see you again.

Your friend is fine even after laid off. The chance of his case being transferred to local INS for interview is less than 10%. Otherwise, he will get GC even without job. In case the case is transferred, he will need to find a similar job before the interview date (that will be over one year from now).

abc789, you should have got your FP done now.
