How to move FP date sooner?

I got an FP notice with the FP date of 2/12/2002 for Indiana. Is there any way I can move it up to sometime this month? I just called the 800 number on the notice. They told me if I can contact the local INS office, they may help but they also say local INS doesn\'t take calls. So any idea anybody?

Just try it - go to the center

I had missed my appointment and went after 1 week - Chicago area - they just look at the notice/letter from INS. You should carry ID - passport is best.

Go to the local INS office during the hours mentioned on your FP notice and give it a shot. I have heard number of cases where they have accepted an earlier date in other centers. Good luck.

Indianapolis INS people is nice. They may let you do it early.

BUT, That will not speed up your I-485 approval.

FP just part of the documents for I-485.
