How to invite parents to attend graduation ceremony while I-485 pending?

I am I-485 pending now as a phd student. Should I still request I-20 to invite my parents to attend my graduation ceremony?

I heard that I am no longer F-1 status when my wife got I-485 pending for both of us. If I request I-20, will this change my visa status? What should I do?

Please help if you can. I will need to send out invitation materials very soon if I want my parents be here.

As long as you have any valid status and have sufficient funds to support them, getting B2 is a non-issue.

Your parents need to apply for the B2. They do not need your I-20 but an invitation letter from the school or similar regarding to your graduation will be helpful for them to get visas.
