How to interpret case processing times for concurrently filed I-130/I-485

How can I estimate the processing time of a concurrently filed immediate relative I-130/I-485?

Does it take the longer of the published case status timelines for I-130 or I-485?

Or do they do the I-130 first then the I-485, so I have to add the processing times together?

Also, am I correct in assuming that a concurrently filed I-765 and I-131 get processed separately on their individually published processing times?

boston,

Please sign yourself up on the Automated system available on the USCIS website so that you can get alerted to any movement regarding your applications.
My mom's case got approved in 3 months and for my dad it took 6 months (with an RFE for Birth certificate). So to answer you questions, there is no set rule as to how typically things move. But since your applications are for an IR, it should be much FASTER than the Processing times mentioned on webpage for processing times at various offices including the Service centers.
Since you have filed I-130 and I-485 concurrently, they will get approved around the same time and you should hear about the I-765 and I-131 soon after finger-printing is completed. FP is typically done within 1-2 months of sending application to Chicago Lockbox Facility.
Good luck !!

Yep, I-765 and I-131 have their own processing times. They normally happen pretty quickly, before the I-485 is approved (often before the I-485 interview.)

I was told when you file concurrently the I-485 timeline is the best date to look to as a guide, they definitely do not add up together.
