How to Initiate Case Status Enquiry ?

Is it by calling the same NSC 1-800 number ?

What is it that makes it a Status Enquiry ?
Is there an option you have to select
to make it a Status Enquiry ?

Or is it something you ask the person
on phone to do ?

Basically, what is it in the phone call
that makes it a Status Enquiry ?

Sumanta,
You will have to call the NSC 1-800 number. The criteria is your RD should be 30 days or earlier than the official processing date for I-485. I guess the date now is June 2003. So if your I-485 RD is May 2003 or earlier, you can initiate an inquiry. Have your Alient # and I-485 receipt number handy when you talk to the rep.
