Hi,
I have received waiver recommendation from the DOS please tell me how can I get the waiver from the USCIS? Do I need to apply to them with some fees or it will come to me automatically? I am highly confused on this point so please help me asap.

The USCIS will send you a letter saying that they have received your favorable recommendation from DOS. It is called I-797, Notice of Action. In this letter you will find your receipt number which you can use to check the status on line. USCIS will take about 4 to 6 months to process your I-612 or Application to Waive Foreign Residency Requirement. You don't need to file or pay for anything. If you move, make sure you notify USCIS of your new mailing address.

Good luck!

I have gone through the process of getting the waiver, and the I-797 is the final waiver document. There is nothing after this. The I-797 approval notice is sent automatically by the USCIS to your home address indicated on the DS-3035 (not the mailing address). It takes approximately 2-3 weeks after you see the favourable recommendation on the DoS website.

Thanks for the answer PK-net. I am in the same situation, I got a recommendation from the Department of State and this has been sent to the USCIS for the final decision, I guess I just have to wait, however, its good to know it just take between 2-3 weeks and not more.
