How to get I-485 SRC #

Hi guys my Company and lawyer say that they have policy not to give the Receipt number. I lost my receipt number that came with the Finger Print notice. Is there any other way I can get my Receipt # so that I can check the AVM.

That is not a policy, sounds like an excuse. !!

I guess you have the right to have your case #, they should just fax it to you right away. I had never heard if such policy before.

I know it is an excuse. I am in a position not to press things and talk of my rights. Is there any way i can get the SRC #

Speak to your HR and say that you want to travel. And ask them to consult your company attorney for the requirements.

Generally Attorneys suggest that you carry your original 485 Receipt while travelling even if you maintain your H1 status.
If you already are working on EAD, I guess you will anyway have to carry receipts along with AP.

That is what my company\'s attorney has written in a letter and has forwarded original receipts to me.

I hope it works for you. Later you can always postpone your travelling program.
